Speaker Bio:

Dr. Katie Hurley, DSW, LCSW, is the Senior Director of Clinical Advising at The Jed Foundation (JED). Dr. Hurley is the author of five books at the intersection of youth and mental health, including the award-winning No More Mean Girls and The Happy Kid Handbook. Her forthcoming book, Breaking the Boy Code: The New Playbook for Raising Resilient Boys, will be available in March 2026. With expertise in youth and young adult mental health, suicide prevention, and bullying and cyberbullying prevention, Dr. Hurley speaks at schools and nonprofits all over the country and maintains a private practice in El Segundo, CA.

DISCLOSURE: Financial – Dr. Hurley receives honoraria for teaching and speaking from AET and other groups; she receives royalties from several publishers, including Wiley and Callisto Publishing. Dr. Hurley also serves as the Senior Clinical Advisor of The Jed Foundation (JED) and receives a salary. Non-Financial – No relevant relationships to disclose.
