Milken Community School: The Reading Intervention Specialist utilizes research-based programs to deliver targeted reading, math, and writing intervention to students in a small class setting. The Reading Intervention Specialist guides students in developing compensatory strategies, including proficiency in assistive technology. The Reading Intervention Specialist provides support to students in developing executive functioning skills. The Reading Intervention Specialist collaborates closely with teachers to scaffold and differentiate the curriculum. The Reading Intervention Specialist reviews student assessment results, monitors progress, and adapts instruction accordingly. The Reading Intervention Specialist collaborates closely with teachers, administrators, and student service specialists, including literacy specialists, academic support directors, and counselors. The Reading Intervention Specialist reports directly to the Head of Student Services. |
