This April, the AET Virtual Café is open all month as we celebrate the first annual Educational Therapy Awareness Month! Throughout the month, we’re honoring that spirit of connection.

April was designated Educational Therapy Awareness Month in recognition of the birth of our founder, Dorothy Ungerleider, whose vision helped build the Association of Educational Therapists' mission-driven community.

AET Fact
Did you know that the AET Educational Therapist Journal dates back to the 1980's!
In the member resource section of the AET website, there are archived articles dating back to the spring of 1985; here, you can explore decades of insights and research. When you look back and read these articles, you’ll see just how groundbreaking AET was in addressing learning challenges. AET has always been on the front lines, advocating for students, education therapists, and all educators with practical, research-based strategies.

Attending AET Learning Communities, either in-person or virtually, is a great member benefit. These small group settings offer high-level professional development and networking opportunities. Chaired by an ET/P® or BCET® member, learning communities discuss topics of interest, bring in guests to share their expertise, talk through complex cases (following confidentiality protocols), share strategies and learning tools, network, and build camaraderie. Non-members may attend a couple of community sessions to learn more about AET and what we have to offer.

Members can obtain the Zoom ID and password for the recurring learning community sessions by visiting the Events Calendar or clicking below.
