From Assessment to Intervention
Ms. Chappuis will examine best thinking in how the assessment process and its results can be used to enhance student achievement (not merely measure it). Topics will include the role assessment plays in supporting learning and ways to elicit evidence of achievement to inform instruction.
Carol Ann Tomlinson
Collaborating with Teachers to Address Diverse Learning Needs
Dr. Tomlinson will connect current research to differentiation in practice. She will present a common vocabulary and shared understanding of what differentiation looks like in the classroom compared to how ETs differentiate when working one-on-one. Attendees will walk away with a fresh understanding of what quality differentiation looks like, how it is achieved, and how to talk about it to help shape teacher competence and confidence in addressing varied student needs.
