This paperback book has a forward by Daniel J. Siegel, MD and includes a DVD of an audio program of guided exercises. Zylowska asks the adult reader with ADHD to do something different this time by training the mind to a different way of paying attention. The eight-step program starts with attention and the five senses and ends with slowing down to be more effective. Practical approaches are offered and Zylowska includes research that supports the suggestions provided. Zylowska is a sychiatrist specializing in mindfulness-based approaches to mental health and is a
cofounder and faculty member at UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center.
